Fed: Engineering construction work down 0.9 per cent
CANBERRA, Jan 16 AAP - Engineering construction work dropped 0.9 per cent in the Septemberquarter, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said today.
The drop was largely the result of a 2.6 per cent fall to $1.8 billion in engineeringwork carried out by the public sector.
Private sector engineering work grew 0.3 per cent to $2.6 billion.
There was a 4.8 per cent drop in engineering construction activity between the Septemberquarters of 2000 and 2001.
