Fed: Clark leads Aboriginal protest against Howard

Protesters, including embattled Aboriginal leader GEOFF CLARK, are gathering at a regional
Victorian venue ahead of Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD's visit.

Members of the Aboriginal community plan to put a curse on Mr HOWARD for abolishing
the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission when he arrives at the Colac Performing
Arts Centre in Victoria's south-west this morning.

Mr CLARK says a member of the Mopok tribe will point the bone at Mr HOWARD in the hope
it will either enlighten him or curse him.

He says it's the beginning of a nationwide campaign against the prime minister.

Victorian farmers have also gathered at the centre to protest against milk prices and pay cuts.
